In 1957 Gil Hibben began his career as a custom knifemaker. This limited edition 50th Anniversary knife is similar to his Southern Bowies that Gil made in the early years. This very special Anniversary Edition knife is strictly limited to 50 stainless steel knives to commemorate Gil’s 50 years as a knifemaker. In addition, he will make only 5 Damascus steel versions commemorating his 5 decades of custom knifemaking.
These beautiful knives feature a 9 1/2 inch blade of 5/16 inch thick steel. The overall length is 15 inches. The heavy brass guard and pommel complement the stunning Makassar Ebony handle. The blade is etched with a special anniversary logo featuring Gil’s signature and likeness. Each knife comes complete with a custom-fitted handmade leather sheath, a special anniversary nylon zippered pouch, and a personally signed certificate of authenticity.
